CUSTOMER CARE TRAINING FOR GOZO CHANNEL RECRUITS
Gozo Channel has recently employed 6 new recruits who are presently following a specialised course in customer care. The course, being conducted by Image Consultant Ms Natalie Attard, is being held at Gozo Channel’s offices in Cirkewwa and includes several practical lectures aboard the vessels. Following the course, the new recruits will be deployed aboard Gozo Channel’s vessels.
Speaking about this initiative, Mr Marvic Fenech Adami, General Manager, Gozo Channel stated that “the Company’s efforts are being directed towards the provision of an even better service to all its customers and the organisation of courses for these newly recruited customer care officials is one such initiative. Moreover, the courses have been received very well by the participants who have been very receptive and have shown a lot of interest in the subjects covered. These included topics such as personal grooming, enhancing the company’s and staff’s image, aspects in teamwork, the customer and his expectations, how to be assertive and courteous and extending the best service possible. Other topics also deal with leadership skills and customer care over the phone.”
Gozo Channel recently undertook a number of other initiatives aimed at making the company more customer-oriented in order to give better service to all its commuters. Some of these initiatives include the life saving courses for all crew members, the installation of close circuit cameras to ensure security on both terminals and the introduction of baggage trailers in order to provide a more convenient service to commuters travelling with heavy luggage.
