Gozo Channel (Operations) Ltd: Introducing Phase 1 of the new, Ferry e-ticketing System for our Customer Groups
Gozo Channel (Operations) Ltd informs its esteemed clients that with effect from the 24th January 2023, a new e-ticketing system will be introduced by the Company. This change will be introduced in two phases: Phase 1 will impact Gozo Channel Daily Commuter/Frequent Travel card holders AND Government Offices and Tour Operators. Phase 2 will be communicated in the near future and will impact all customer groups, allowing for online purchasing of tickets and online top-up of travel cards.
All Gozo Channel customer groups, including the general public, will still be able to purchase their ferry tickets at the Company’s sales points, for both foot passengers and vehicles, as is current practice. For the general public, the online e-ticketing purchasing will be an added option in Phase 2 of the e-ticketing system.
As a result of Phase 1 introduction, with effect from 24th January 2023, Government Offices and Tour Operators will have the option to buy Gozo Channel ferry tickets online.
It is important for Daily Commuter/Frequent Travel card holders to note that their current cards, will not be valid for travel with effect from the 24th January 2023 and that they need to apply for new cards. Unused credit on their old cards will be refunded.
